For most of us the prospect of meeting someone new for the first time can be a daunting thought. To help you overcome your initial apprehensions we have put together a few tips on dating to make things a bit easier for you:-

Do's

  • Always arrange to meet at a mutually convenient place, somewhere that is on neutral territory and preferably somewhere that is familiar to you.
  • Appearances are so important; wear something you feel comfortable in.  Your outfit should make you feel good and a little perfume or after shave to smell nice too will go a long way.
  • Show an interest in the person you are meeting and the things they talk about.
  • Be original, confident and interesting, polite, friendly and punctual.
  • Stick to topics such as hobbies, music, foreign travel and culture.
  • Should you not wish to meet the person again, courteously wish them well for the future.
  • Most importantly relax, enjoy yourself and regard each date as a new and potentially exciting experience with the possibility of meeting someone special and at the very least making new friends and increasing your social circle.

Don'ts

  • Arrange to be collected or dropped off from your home, although all our clients have been personally interviewed and you are quite safe meeting them on neutral territory, it makes sense not to ask them back to your home on a first date.
  • Talk about or criticise your ex or talk about your children to extreme.
  • Complain about your single status ~ you may come across as desperate.
  • Dress overtly sexy ~ giving off the wrong signals
  • Monopolise the conversation

Finally if there’s anything you want to discuss with us, just pick up the phone and we will do our very best to help you with any issues you may have whether it maybe tips on dating or dating etiquette.
